Bring a tablecloth and set up a spot for you and your family at the German-American Club's Germanfest Summer Picnic! This fun picnic is in the beautiful pine tree-shaded Schuetzenpark Biergarten on the grounds of the German-American Club in Colonie. This Biergarten is the last authentic Biergarten left in the Capital District.

Plenty of traditional German foods will be available for purchase including several varieties of wursts, potato pancakes, and potato salad. There will also be fruit kuchen, funnel cakes, and "Spagettieis" or "Spaghetti Ice Cream" (This is an ice cream sundae with vanilla ice cream that is pressed through a machine to look like a mound of spaghetti, topped with strawberry sauce, grated white chocolate, and a wafer cookie. We say that it is very "lecker" which is German for DELICIOUS!)

Live German music from 2-6PM. 

Everyone welcome - this picnic is open to the public! $3 park entry fee (Children under 12 are free). Entry fee does not include food or drink.
