NEW EVENT: Come join your friends for a Raclette Dinner Abend! What is Raclette? Raclette is a type of Swiss cheese but it is also a type of meal where the food is cooked on a table top grill! Each person has their own small tray that slides in under the hot grill so they can melt slices of cheese & make their own creations.

This is a meal that is typically made in Germany on Christmas Eve or New Years’ Eve but we thought it would be the perfect event for a cold night in January. It’s fun and is a nice family-style get together.

German Club will delivery the Nikolaustag gift bags during homeroom

In keeping with longtime German Program tradition, we will be participating in this year’s Steuben Parade in NYC! Representing Niskayuna Central School District, we will march in the parade that takes us up 5th Avenue. The Parade brings together the entire German-American community. Groups include members from social and cultural clubs, sport clubs, religious groups and the masons. Each year, several groups from Germany visit their American friends, among them musical clubs, carnival organizations and Schützen corps. We’re happy to be a part of this group!

Join Deutsch Klub for our first ever ice skating event at the outdoor ice rink in Downtown Schenectady. Skate rentals will be available. This is a FREE EVENT for Deutsch Club members! Hot cocoa and snacks will be provided.

just in time for Halloween…Deutsch Klub started this last year and it was a big hit. Enjoy apple cider, donuts, & Bavarian pretzels while carving your best design. German students will vote for their favorite design & winners get a goody bags filled with German candies.

We’ll celebrate the contributions of German heritage & culture with trivia & a quick march through the HS!

Celebrate the spirit of Oktoberfest with some German culture at the Glenville Oktoberfest! Authentic German foods by the German-American Club of Albany, LIVE German music, rides, games, & more.
